Friendly and flexible – Healthshield’s new offering offers a wealth of flex benefits

Health Shield has once again upped its game to offer an increased package of benefits and providers within its Tailored Schemes.

The friendly society will offer an improved GP Helpline, which will have a virtual GP surgery with video and phone appointments, and a private prescription service delivered anywhere in the world.

There is also home assistance cover providing support to people who have a pre-planned hospital stay of two nights or more, as well as MRI, CT and PET scan after referral from a consultant. These can be self-underwritten, with no requirement for a GP referral and freedom to choose a provider to conduct the scan, so that members can work with their GP or recommended provider, with a benefit that is paid directly to the provider.

Health Shield’s Employee Assistance Programme will also be enhanced, with eight face-to-face appointments a year, on top of a 24hr helpline and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. There are a variety of other benefits, including Flu Jabs and inoculations.

The scheme will also offer access to a variety of exclusive retail discounts and offers, which are managed through the friendly society’s rewards portal, Xexec.
